R. Sterling Boon founded The Boon Group, Inc. and all of its subsidiary companies. Mr. Boon oversees all sales operations of the Company, as well as the major management decisions. Mr. Boon has over twenty three years of experience in the marketing and sales of health and life insurance to the government contractor market. After graduating from the University of Texas in 1978 with a degree in Business Administration, Mr. Boon helped start and establish the first Health Maintenance Organization (HMO) in Texas from 1978-1981.

The Boon Agency, Inc. was formed by Sterling Boon in 1982, relocated to California in 1984, and subsequently the name was changed to The Boon Insurance Agency, Inc. In 1991, Mr. Boon established Contractors Employee Benefits Administration, Inc. (CEBA®) to administer the uniquely designed products for the government construction and services contract industry.

Mr. Boon has personally formed strategic alliances with insurance carriers including CIGNA Healthcare, New York Life Insurance Company and American Fidelity Assurance Company for the joint development and marketing of products and services for government contractors. Mr. Boon has served on the Board of Directors of the Contract Services Association of America for the past 17 years.
