Benefit Implementation

These services include preparing an implementation schedule outlining the tasks and responsible party; preparing, assembling, and distributing employee enrollment packages; scheduling, coordinating, and conducting enrollment meetings; collecting and processing enrollment materials and, coordinating the delivery of post enrollment collateral materials.

Open Enrollment Services

These services include developing open enrollment communication materials; distributing materials; conducting open-enrollment meetings; and collecting and processing enrollment changes.

Account Management Services

   
 
The Account Services Department provides assistance to employers by responding to employer concerns, communicating plan designs and changes, and the coordination and delivery of renewal packages.

Employee Enrollment Assistance

A toll-free customer service help line is provided for employees to use when they have questions regarding their benefits. This help line is available Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM Central Time. Trained Customer Service Representatives can assist employees with their questions concerning completing enrollment forms, availability of benefit options in their area, determining plan design or coverage, and changing life status.

Policy Administration

These services include application screening and processing, issuing plan information including Certificate of Insurance, Schedule of Benefits, Identification Card, and HIPAA Certificate of Creditable Coverage.

Premium Billing and Collection

Our proprietary systems are flexible and allow for self-reporting by the employer or direct billing. COBRA Billing and Collection is offered at no additional cost to the employer. The COBRA services include monthly billing services, collection services and notice of termination of COBRA Continuation.

Eligibility Maintenance

Using a proprietary system, Plan eligibility is maintained each month. After processing new applications, change requests, and reconciling the employer's monthly report, eligibility is transmitted to the various insurance carriers and/or other benefit plan providers.

Claims Administration

Provides claims adjudication services utilizing a highly automated system that enables 65% of all claims to be auto adjudicated. Claims are processed with an average turn-around time of nine (9) calendar days and an overall accuracy rate of 99%. Boon Administrative Services is HIPAA EDI compliant.

Customer Service

Toll-free telephone numbers are maintained for insureds and providers to verify eligibility and benefits, check status of claims, obtain assistance with policy provisions, etc. Customer Service Representatives are available 7 days a week, 365 days a year. The hours of Operation are:

Monday through Friday:               6:00 AM to 7:00 PM
Weekends and Official Holidays:  9:00 AM to 12:00 PM
Non-official Holidays:                   6:00 AM to 6:00 PM

All times provided are Central Time and Bilingual Customer Service Representatives are available.
