Front-End Administrative Compliance Services

The Boon Group has strategic alliances with several national carriers to provide PPACA compliant major medical plans that are easy to implement for contractors. You can utilize one of these products to help satisfy your government contract or you can choose to keep what you have now and only use Boon’s administrative services.

The Boon Group®, in conjunction with Boon Administrative Services, specializes in providing independent third-party Fringe Allocation and Compliance Tracking Services to government contracting companies working on contracts that are subject to the Service Contract Act, Davis-Bacon Act, or similar state prevailing wage laws. By outsourcing these administrative functions to an independent third party, contractors typically can increase profits and help ensure compliance with the regulations.

Outsourcing Benefits Administration

•   Track and account for fringe benefit contributions on an individual or average cost basis.
•   Prepare detailed reports for audit trail accounting and Department of Labor compliance.
•   Collect fringe contributions to serve as a single pay point and sends payments to all benefit providers.
•   Transmit monthly eligibility data to plan providers.
•   Maintain employees' fringe benefit account balance including hour bank and sick leave accounts.
•   Issue Summary Plan Descriptions and Plan Documents for self-funded plans.

Benefits Plus Plan (BPP)

The Benefits Plus Plan is designed to provide coverage for all employees and their dependents. Full and part-time employees, regardless of the number of hours worked in a month, and their eligible dependents can receive benefits at an affordable cost. The Benefits Plus Plan pays a scheduled benefit regardless of the amount of billed charges or discounted charges.

For many companies struggling with high benefits costs and low employee satisfaction - and especially those companies that now offer no medical coverage at all - the first dollar plan may just be the right solution!

The BPP plan is not subject to Health Care Reform’s under PPACA because:

•   BPP plan is provided under separate policy, certificate, or contract of insurance.
•   BPP does not coordinate between benefits and exclusion under another grandfathered health plan maintained by same plan sponsor.
•   Benefits are paid without regard to whether benefits are provided under any grandfathered health plan maintained by same plan sponsor.
•   BPP pays a fixed dollar amount per day per benefit, regardless of expenses incurred.
   - For example, if BPP pays $1,000 per day, it will pay this amount regardless of whether the bill is $500 per day or $1,500 per day.
